The Makewell Health Team ✨
Welcome to Makewell Health
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is an evidence-based, specialized area of rehabilitation focused on assessing and treating dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles, core, and surrounding structures. This service supports individuals experiencing concerns such as urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, constipation, painful intercourse, and core weakness, as well as those preparing for or recovering from childbirth, gynecological surgery, or menopause.
Our pelvic health physiotherapists use a combination of internal and external assessment techniques, patient education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and lifestyle modifications to support optimal pelvic health and overall function.
Care is individualized and collaborative, with an emphasis on empowering patients through education and self-management strategies.
Paediatric Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pediatric pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor concerns in children. Common reasons for referral include bedwetting (enuresis), daytime urinary leakage, constipation, encopresis (stool withholding or soiling), and difficulties with toilet training.
Treatment is always age-appropriate, non-invasive, and play-based, with a strong focus on education, building healthy habits, and helping children—and their caregivers—understand what’s going on and how to manage it. Our goal is to support children in developing confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with their bodies.
Parents and caregivers are involved throughout the process, and sessions are tailored to meet each child’s unique developmental, emotional, and physical needs.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional conditions. Our physiotherapists use a combination of manual therapy, targeted exercise prescription, movement re-education, and education to help reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve function.
Whether you're recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, rehabilitating post-surgery, or looking to improve overall movement and performance, our team provides individualized care plans tailored to your specific goals and needs.
We take a whole-person approach to care, emphasizing active participation, long-term results, and empowering you to take charge of your recovery.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a holistic, evidence-informed approach to healthcare that aims to identify and treat the root causes of illness—not just the symptoms. Our Naturopathic Doctor (ND) blends modern diagnostic tools with natural therapies such as clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle counseling, and supplementation to support the body’s innate healing capacity.
Common areas of support include hormonal health, digestive concerns, stress and fatigue, sleep issues, fertility, skin conditions, and preventive wellness. Naturopathic visits involve in-depth assessments, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support tailored to your unique needs and health goals.
Whether you're looking to optimize your energy, regulate hormones, or get to the bottom of persistent symptoms, naturopathic care provides a comprehensive, collaborative path forward.
